The Liberty Advisor Group Team was asked to perform a program health assessment on an ERP transformation project that had been running for 5+ years, was over budget, and had not progressed past the development phase. After conducting a thorough assessment and defining a revised timeline for the program, the Liberty Advisor Group Team was asked to lead the program for the remainder of the project.

Our client, a $10B distributor specializing in Tires, Car Parts, Lubricants, Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Renewable Energy products, was looking to upgrade their system to Microsoft’s Dynamic 365 ERP System (D365) for its tires and automotive components division.

This division had recently doubled in size after 3 major acquisitions in addition to significant organic growth. They could no longer be maintained by the 25+ year-old legacy enterprise system.

A year and a half after the initially proposed Go Live date, the program remained stuck in the design phase and had conducted minimal development and testing. To not inhibit any future growth, our client needed to complete an upgrade to a modern enterprise solution that could properly support the business and current operations.

The Liberty Team led the program to a successful Go Live and brought all 68 warehouses in the automotive components division onboard D365. This was a significant accomplishment for the organization, which had been working to bring the program live for seven years before Liberty was brought on.
